So sad. In a recent statement, he talked about how much stronger he was after a liver transplant he had in May.

That's unfortunate because while Lou Reed was never a huge commercial success, his songs influenced the progression of rock and roll music like few others before or since.

While going through some old clothes after reading this, I came upon my old Lou Reed "Rock 'n Roll Animal" t-shirt. I just can't bring myself to throw it out today. His music and his personal integrity has had an immense impact on me, and I just don't want to believe he's gone.
