What I mean is that Parmenides' question may very well be malformed. I think this is where studying language can very much yield better results than thinking it to be a real philosophical problem. That's why I brought up Platonism before, because I think it's a big example of, to quote Wittgenstein, "language going on holiday", a confusion brought on by misunderstanding language in other words.
