I'll play chess with you
Wanna make it a formal match?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Like formal debates, there are rules.
I thought you had a problem with rules.
No edits.
Touch and go.
24 hour turn around for moves.
Any notation preferences?

Oh, please say descriptive. I can't stand that algebraic shit.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Yay, at least you won't run away from something formal.
Don't care on notation.
You pick, black or white?
24hr turnaround for moves are you serious!? Are we going to have a century long match?
Why don't we just have a real match on yahoo chess and get it over with quick?

Ok
For the first move...
I am holding a black piece in one hand and a white piece in the other.
Pick left or right.
That's your color for the game.

Some people can't do both.
Without a viewable board algebraic is a bit testing.
Sorry for the derail Argy.

from the UK. Ex-gamer here (family takes up my time now). Used to love beaters, slashers, shooters & RTS with the occasional RPG thrown in for good measure. My guilty pleasure is the GW W40K series; I even liked Armageddon

Yes, that's why I don't like it. Even with a board it feels unnatural. I mean, I can follow whole sequences of N-B3 and QxNP without having to think about them.
