I really am completely confounded by the ability to ignore so much our species knows and say 'well we just need to respect religion, even though as one religion in doing so we're saying all the others are just as plausible'.

I have less respect for a person that honestly thinks the earth is flat or 2+2=5 or evolution is a myth or there's a big being in the heavens somewhere that graced only our planet with life of all the hundreds of billions out there and is watching us do everything simultaneously, even when we pee (.... eww so god is seeing like thousands of people pooping while he's watching others ravenously enjoy their breakfast and still others are getting it on in the midst of hunters cleaning and gutting and quartering their kills....). It's still wrong, even if you think otherwise.

I am nice enough to not say to your face what I really want to say: "You're a fucking idiot".
