quran miracles - headache

RE: quran miracles - headache
Quote:What does modern Egyptology tells us about the rulers of the Egypt and when they were called as Pharaohs? The Encylopedia Britannica informs us under Pharaoh:

(from Egyptian per 'aa, "great house") , originally, the royal palace in ancient Egypt; the word came to be used as a synonym for the Egyptian king under the New Kingdom (starting in the 18th dynasty, 1539-1292 BC), and by the 22nd dynasty ( 945-730 BC) it had been adopted as an epithet of respect. The term has since evolved into a generic name for all ancient Egyptian kings, although it was never formally the king's title.
So the Quran fucks up and uses a mis-translated term?? If Muhammad the prophet (fleas be upon him) spent a little more time learning and less time with his goat's sphincter maybe he wouldn't have messed up so much..

But here's a response to the claim anyway.

In general you are right. But you have to keep in mind that more than a 1000 years after the first egyptian ruler applied "pr-aa" as one of his titles, the quran was written. So there is actually no possible way that muhammad could have known of this differences.

I have read this response, it is very bad imo.

I also believe that mohammed actually thought that "firawn" is the name of that dude and not a title for a ruler. I think the bible commits the same fallacy.

You are here now 3000 years after the Egyptians first called their rulers pharaoh and you know the difference.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.
