Firstly I would like to mention that i WAS an atheist and hated anything to do with god.

First mistake.
An atheist doesn't hate anything to do with god. An atheist simply doesn't believe that any good exists.
If you hate the guy, then you believe it exists, hence you are not an atheist.
On the other hand, "good hating atheist" is a standard misconception that Christians have of atheists... ergo you were never atheist and the story is made up.

Second mistake. As others have pointed out,10 years is too long to hit rock bottom, unless you had some cool stash or your parents were feeding your addiction.

Third mistake. It may have sounded like a nice piece of propaganda Buzz word, but this just makes all the BS alarms go off.

Do improve the story before you retell it somewhere else.

Hello godless atheists. I used to be as you are now. Just hated God something fierce I did. Bossing me around, insisting that I give up fornicating, raping and killing. Basically messing with all my fun.

Anyhoo .. after years of hard living and self-abuse, when I got low enough .. about like you poor bastards .. I got a call out of the blue. I knew God was trying to tell me something, that He loved me and wanted more for me. Well gosh, I wept and wept. I got down on my knees and begged His forgiveness. Yep, I got right with God right there and I've been on my knees ever since.

Now I don't even want to do all that shit you guys do anymore. Raping and cannibalism have no claim on me. When people blaspheme around me, my soul just winces. If only you knew how much God loves you, you would cease taking his name in vain and forcing yourself on the rest of His creation in ungodly fornication.

Granted he's a shit and runner, but many atheists, specifically anti-theists, do hate anything to do with God. In philosophy, this is akin to the use-mention error; you can hate things related to and associated with any figure, real or not, and many of the things associated with "God" are worthy of hatred, whether "He" himself does or does not exist.
