Lol burn.

I have a pair of fluffy indoor shoes I wear when I get blisters, they're more comfy and cushiony than uggs. I don't know why uggs are so expensive, blows my mind.

What's everyone's opinions on plastic shoes?

These are juju jelly shoes. They're not as cheap as they look either, when it started becoming a trend, I ... well, I didn't get it.
Prettier ones:

Besides looking ugly, I feel like they would rub against your skin and give you blisters. Some of the PVC see through shoes are pretty, but I don't think I would ever get them because of that concern. I grew up in the 90s and I've had plastic shoes and they gave me blisters.
From my point of view, I don't find those hot at all.

Nowt wrong with "jelly shoes" for kids at the beach. But for grown ups? Only if they look like this

In which case its still a cut prize imitation of leather IMHO.

And the seethrough ones? They'd steam up! Hot sweaty feet on full show is not a good look.

Wouldn't it give out squeaky sounds when you cross your legs or when your legs rub up against each other?

Yea I didn't think about steaming up ... lol.

I associate those with my shoes that I had as a kid. If you're over the age of 7, I wouldn't wear them.

I suspect they would. I understand some people like that, but plastic is, well, plasticy. Latex is good for that "second skin" look, but for shoes?

For me shoes are like most clothing. Its a subtle interplay of concealment with the hint of revealing. A peep toe is sexy because it, well, peeps. Boots are sexy because they define shape without revealing skin. A seethough plastic shoe or boot doesn't conceal or hint, it just... shows. A little unsubtle for my taste.

This was my favorite pair over the summer. They make your legs look great no matter what.

Shoe trends are getting a little odd these days. I tend to prefer the classics if I'm going to spend money on it. I mean black pumps are always going to look good but things like uggs, sneaker wedges, plastic shoes ... people are going to realize they don't look good one day. Then I'll never wear it again.

I always keep classics around but I can't help indulging in the trends. Smile
