OK showing my age here. I played first edition just before 2nd edition came out and still had to wait a year for the first Dungeon masters guide to hit the UK

RE: D&D
I play a noob campaign with my friends, Scruffy is our DM and he has been playing for ages. We play 3.5 and my character is a lvl 6 Changeling Spellthief.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

To better understand what who I'm living with:

These are just some of Scruffy's D&D books. No matter how hard I try to keep them in the bookshelf, they always wind up around the apartment. Big Grin

I used to play both 1st & 2nd eds of AD&D, but transferred over to Rolemaster in the 80s, and haven't played anything else since the late 90s. Right now, I've been working on material for the Rolemaster & HARP systems, and am working on a small number of adventures.

Played first edition D&D and AD&D, back when those were separate games. Stopped playing when my group graduated high school and went our separate ways, and just got back into it a couple of years ago. Mostly play Pathfinder now. Currently DMing a campaign using the Pathfinder Rise of the Runelords adventure path.

RE: D&D
I played AD&D 1st edition with my parents' group (which has been going on since they were in high school) for a few years when I was like 15 years old.

I played D&D 3.5 with people my own age a year or two ago. I've also played Pathfinder a couple of times. Pathfinder is cool because it's like D&D with the invention of gunpowder and also random awesome stuff thrown in.

I've also played both New and Old World of Darkness campaigns (Vampire, Werewolf, the much lesser known Changing Breeds) as well as a very short lived Call of Cthulhu campaign, and run Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space, Mutants and Masterminds, and Bubblegum Crisis.

I would love to play more New/Old World of Darkness or Call of Cthulhu, or even to run a Call of Cthulhu or Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space campaign. Would anyone be up for playing one of those online?

RE: D&D
I played DDO for a while, left, and came back to find my barbarian gone. I'm not sure why.

I tried playing some D&D on a forum, but they wanted more specifics than I really understood how to give, and I didn't ever do anything. I roleplay, but I don't usually like to make a bunch of details about my character right off the bat.
