Given the trouble the Germans have in regulating prostitution, legalization of prostitution has made great strides in increasing human trafficking.

Hi feminist here, and personally I think prostitution is fine. Men and women want to sell themselves for money I say go right ahead. Just make sure you're clean and safe.

Alaina's Rules For Prostitutes

1. You must be 25 or over (I think 25 is a reasonable age to make the well thought through decision of being a prostitute)

Age is not directly relevant in this instance. One can make a decision within their first weeks of living... making an 'age line' for 'when one can be assumed able to 'think through' a decision' not only does nothing to ensure that one is capable of understanding that their actions may have consequences that they are not prepared for: it misunderstands the human mind in and of itself.

How about a license where one is tested for their ability to prostitute themselves out. Most Americans can legally *drive* upon their 16th birthday (which is nonsense, but whatever)... why should they not be able to sell sex with themselves until NINE YEARS AFTER THEY ARE LEGALLY ABLE TO DRIVE MUTLI-TON METAL VEHICLES AT SEVENTY MILES AN HOUR?

One of these activities is the far more dangerous. Guess which one it is.

2. You cannot work on a street corner (brothels only) (start a union)

Why not? Street peddlers are able to sell their wares on a street corner... why should the sale of a prostitute's services NOT be available on a street corner?

3. No water sports, blood play, or poop (it's unsanitary)

Kissing isn't sanitary, holding hands is incredibly unsanitary, touching feet in general is unsanitary... human beings are not hospitals. If one person is willing to sell an experience, and another willing to buy: what the hell does it matter the experience be?

Especially in this case: just who are they going to endanger that is not a part of the sale?

4. Must do weekly testing for STD/STI

Why weekly? Why not monthly? Why not daily? Why not after every single visit? WHY WEEKLY, specifically?

I'm just curious. I agree that disease testing should be a mandatory practice for a licensed peddler of sexual services... but seriously: what's with the timeframe?

5. You must bathe with SOAP and brush teeth before and after clients

Why? This falls more under 'guidelines' than it does 'rules'. Brushing your teeth does not remove all the germs within, and bathing with soap mostly just moves them around on your body (and scents you).

Again: what is the purpose?

6. Make a SSC list of things you are and are not willing to do with clients (put it in your contract!)

... That's kind of the purpose of a contract.

7. Keep a panic button to hand

8. No more than five people to a gangbang

Why? If they're willing to buy into an experience with a dozen other people: why should someone not be able to sell it?

A problem, you are ignoring that prostitution will lead to a prudish society where no one has sex for the sake of sex. Women engaged in prostitution should be severely punished.

Agreed, that's why I generally disagree with decriminalization. It still allows for there to be a criminal aspect. In my opinion fully regulated legalization would work very well though.

Sex *IS* (and always has been) a commodity. What is the cost of this commodity? Usually time, money, and a fair amount of work.

Hookers usually skip most of the time and work parts of delivering the commodity (that is sex). You pay them, and they fuck you.
