Ichiro is a special talent. Definitely HOF material. And, once again, very professional.

I'm not completely sold on Japanese pitchers yet but my Yankees are in the Tanaka sweepstakes so I guess we'll see.

Yeah. That was last year's NCAA National Championship... which is part of the irony, i guess. Terrible game that it was.

Funny ass video, though.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Fair point regarding the pitching. Take for instance Wladimir Balentien. He played last in MLB for my Reds in 2009 and was less than impressive, yet last year put up .330, 130 RBI, and 60 HRs in 130 games in Japan (he never hit .300 in the minors).

For the record, there's only a soft spot in my heart for the Yankees because of Paul O'Neill.
