I think they had to evolve dexter through an evolution of emotions. I think 8 seasons of a cold and heartless murdered who have gotten stale quickly.

I thought the ending was terrible and arbitrary. He can't be a dad anymore because being a serial killer puts his family into danger at least once a year? LET'S JUST LEAVE HIM IN ARGENTINA WITH ANOTHER SERIAL KILLER BRB LUMBERJACKING

I hated Hannah's character and I really hated that she had to show back up and ruin the rest of a show I used to like.
