Adrian, I think I got 45 without help and 47 with hints. I distinctly remember forgetting Utah, Kansas, and Colorada. This time I forgot Nebraska

New York is the name of the city,part of which is on the island of Mahhattan, and the name of the state,of which the city is a part. I think the city of New York extends into three states :New York,New Jersey and Connecticut (?)

I know of the city. No one has ever told me before that the name of the state that it is in is the same name as the city. I've heard people use the word manhattan sometimes seemingly interchangeably with new york and assumed based on all the data I had immediately available that new york was a city in the state of manhattan.

They are interchangeable because Manhattan is a borough inside New York City. So Manhattan isn't even a city....

So yeah there's a New York City inside of New York state.

Don't feel bad... I missed Nebraska, Minnesota, and Idaho. I don't even know where Minnesota is :S Lol ^_^ maybe north of Missouri and west of Michigan? Thinking
