Kinect pc
This is a really long shot.

I'm presently tinkering with using kinect motion sensors on a PC for body scanning. I'm really struggling with getting skanect to recognise my GPU, and in general.

Has anyone here any experience of any of this?

Cos its kicking my arse at the moment! I need different drivers for 3d scanning as for motion capture and the two won't work together!!!Angry

Why do you need any drivers for mo-cap? Isn't that exactly what Skanect is supposed to be for?

Looks like a cool idea-- I might have to try this, too, as I do some game programming as a hobby.

Skanect Is one of the programs available. All of them use different drivers. Microsoft released official software developer kits (sdk) but some programs use older ones like openni. I'm trying to get something to work with a 3d modeling program (like kinect) AND a 3d motion tracking app like brekel. And that's what's been kicking my arse. Those drivers do NOT like each other.

I think I've now solved it by using brekel body pro, which uses Microsoft sdk instead of openni. Just need to get my radeon graphics to think it's a cuda2 (which Skanect demands) and I'm there.

If the drivers exclusively use the same device, all bets are off.

Have you tried this thing?
