Something unknown to me? Well if it's something that is, then regardless of if it is known or not, it must exist if it is to 'be'... for it is something that is, and something that is=something that exists.

Seriously though... that post is enough. By definition if something 'is' then it exists, for if it does not exist it cannot 'be', so it makes no sense to say it 'is'. Even illusions still exist as the illusions that they are to the observer(s).

But 'thing' here is such a loose description the object described isn't. With this definition any'thing' you think becomes existent just because you think about it.

But what of the object in of itself... _not_ your thought?
