The FOX NEWS Shits Will Explode
|
Well, I mean, if you can't afford cancer treatment, obviously you don't deserve to survive it. Communist.
My favorite fox news 'fact' was when they said that if Stephen Hawking had been born in the UK then he would never have lived due to socialised medicine.
Some may call them junk, I call them treasures.
Of course Fox News viewers will never hear about this. Besides, everything French is just a punchline in their fantasy world. We do everything better in 'Murica, including fleecing our sick and dying.
I've had long discussions on other boards and in real life about health care in the US. It's a wonder you lot aren't all dead.

Someone once claimed to me that since the US utilizes new technology better than other countries, it has the number one healthcare in the world. What a fucking joke. And they also denied there's a problem with access to care because "there are free/reduced cost clinics everywhere". Not in my state, except for planned parenthood. Same with my region as a whole. And the rest of the country likely has a similar story. Really, there's a bunch of denial, especially from those in the upper classes who have never had a single problem with healthcare because mommy and daddy always paid for it and they got like sixteen dollars an hour from their first job and were able to save for college, and thus their school's healthcare, and were also in a better position to get more awesome jobs during college thanks to mommy and daddy getting them a good first job.

In NI, I had a fairly bad motorbike crash when I was in my late 20s. Nothing horrific - a few minor fractures, road rash, that sort of thing. I was in hospital for 6 days, had 4 weeks of physical therapy, and was on pain meds for about 3 months.
Total billing: £11 500. My costs: £200 (cab fare to and from PT). A socialist nightmare, that was. Boru

In America, your total billing would have been at LEAST $200,000, guarantee it. And how much you'd pay depends on how dickish your insurance is - some only have a couple thousand max in what they will cover, others have deductibles to pay first, and some will always only pay 80 percent of your costs. Luckily, I have two good insurances (one is free!) but many in the country do not luck out in such a way.
So what you are saying is that USA health care is abysmal compared to French health care? And that the French have greater monetary power and humanity than the USoA?

That sounds about right.
