Problem with using bold tags inside url tags

A couple times recently I've noticed that if I include bold tags inside url tags, the text of the url label doesn't display properly in preview (it doesn't display at all). If I move the bold tags outside to surround the url tags, it does display (though doing that results in improper rendering of the text color in this instance; resulting in gray rather than blue text). (ETA: Including color tags inside url tags has the same effect.)
Anybody else experience this?

Wah! I got a defective copy of the forum!
Aha! More clues. It only does it if the url doesn't include the http:// prefix.
