My virtual fish
I have been working on this for a while and was hoping someone here would look at the video and give me opinions on my fish movement, etc.
I try to show what my aquarium can do in the recording which is about 2 1/2 minutes Thanks

RE: My virtual fish
How adorable! The only thing that stood out to me, was that none of the fish were (almost) still. Every time I look into a fish tank, there is almost always one bugger, who just chills around, moving really slowly, and that I missed in your simulation. Smile
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I'm not sure I saw them actually eating the food. They just seemed to pass through it. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I think it looks good, though.

RE: My virtual fish
Thanks. on the movement I have fish moving more than normal because I did not like it when they stand still for too long so I took a little license, as far as the eating goes my fish just touch the food and food particles end I can have them open their mouths but it is so hard too see fish mouths are so small, I figured it was a waste of time to do that. I have a shark tank and when the shark gets close to fish, shark opens mouth but the fish were so small i scaled them bigger, now sharks open mouth but the fish is too big to fit but it looks better with bigger fish

For eating, you could have them stop at the food, and make short movements at the specks in addition to minor mouth movements.

I read fish eat opening their mouths when they are close to food which causes a vacuum and the food particle goes in mouth but the fish are always moving forward I can have fish open mouths but the are so small I don't think many people will notice it like you did thanks for your input

Don't worry about it then. I like your fish.

More pooping? You only saw a little bit of the video fish poop a lot. I had them pooping a lot more when i was testing

RE: My virtual fish
I think the movement is the best thing about it. Seems pretty realistic and I especially like that you can see the depth when the fish move about.

The background and UI could do with some work but I imagine that's pretty low priority and an aesthetic thing more than anything else.
