Welcome to this side of the meaningless divide, Jacob. Two questions.

Other than not affiliating with the Christian brand anymore, how profoundly has this affected your self image?

How does the missus feel about it?

Wishing you all the best, either way.

RE: Hello again
So, we've helped deconvert a Christian? Great!

Every time we get a theist condescendingly insisting that their jackassery is how they intend to save our souls, we can now remind them that we have an infinity% greater success rate at deconverting theists than they do at converting atheists. Neener neener.

It has to be so, since the reason you used to provide for being a Christian was always based on the later.
Close. I discovered a horribly neat and straightforward explanation for said feelings, which sort of spoiled them for me a bit Dodgy.

Well, not so happy that you've shifted an inch away, but hey welcome again to the forums.

I won't say you didn't help. Although if you really want to give credit to someone, the Christian's on this forum (and elsewhere) have more to do with it. When people can convoluted logic to the point that their refutation to "red is not purple" becomes "red IS purple" you know there's something very wrong somewhere.

I do not, however, wish to be mounted atop the AF fireplace with a little plaque reading "one nil, suck on THAT Bitches" Wink

Early days to tell. At the moment I'm still mired in the disillusionment stage of the process. I'll let you know.

As to the Mrs, I wouldn't dream of discussing it with her Wink.

Welcome to the "other" side brother. It's tough, I know, but it gets easier.
