Welcome, Hez, and thanks for making an intro. So far, you're a great contributor
You are most welcome. Keep asking those questions, question everything even your own assumptions.

Welcome.
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
Welcome Hez, that's your nickname now blame becca, glad to see a reasonable theist contributor around! Hope you enjoy your stay!
Well, sorry to tell you this, but truth-seeking and questioning assumptions may lead to a loss of faith. The Christian establishment discourages that kind of stuff for a reason. I personally appreciate your healthy appetite for knowledge. Have you studied some comparative religion and philosophy? That's a good place to start when you're asking questions about religion, assumptions, and belief.

I believe in questioning everything, and not being afraid to set down my own beliefs, and in doing so, if my beliefs are really the truth, then I'll find myself picking them back up again. ![]() (March 20, 2014 at 8:04 pm)Aral Gamelon Wrote: Welcome Hez, that's your nickname now blame becca, glad to see a reasonable theist contributor around! Hello Hezza!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Welcome and look forward to more of your posts/threads! The one you started is very interesting.

Hmm....
Quote:As for Hezekiah the Judahite, who did not submit to my yoke: forty-six of his strong, walled cities, as well as the small towns in their area, which were without number, by levelling with battering-rams and by bringing up seige-engines, and by attacking and storming on foot, by mines, tunnels, and breeches, I besieged and took them. Hope you make out better than the first Hezekiah. |
