Seriously though...

What gives one group exclusive rights to God while reserving all other beliefs for eternal punishment? Perhaps if theists are willing to be honest about their beliefs (not just parrot scripture) then they'll learn to accept all forms of belief... including atheism.

If I have any question at all, it is this... Christians, do you know Christ, or do you just worship Jesus the man? And if you do not know Christ, then why call yourselves Christians? Why not just call yourselves Jesusians?

christ and jesus are the same. Just like all the good things about you are you. Of course that is only some of the story.

I think they are afraid of the rest of the story. BTW. RCC is changing. not as fast as we would like, but they are.

It is not the religion that pisses me off. Religion is just an emtionial outlet so to speak. And we human are emotional. I have a problem with asshole forcing their view on me without a shred of a clue about what they are talking about when they judge me.

Actually, Yahweh (the Judeo-Christian god) showed off his impressive cock to Ezekiel. I'm not kidding.

Quote:Ezekiel 1:27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

Yahweh is not only a man but he's apparently hot and hung.

Jesus (if he existed as a single historical figure and was not an amalgam of many such teachers) may have been A Christ, or many Christs. Christians have mistaken their model of Jesus as THE Christ (as if only one existed). Many traditions have a central holy figure, but few realize that they all point to one solitary nature - a Christ of sorts. Jews call [God] YHWH, while Christians call [God] Jesus. Muslims call [God] Allah, and Ra is the name for the sun [God] chosen by the Egyptians. The point is that for all of the many traditions that are competing, very few realize that a house divided against itself cannot stand. They all have the same [God] and "Christ" is but one name given to the deity.

Christos, the Greek translation of moshiach, meant "anointed." The anointment of the king or high priest with a sacred oil was a jewish custom. So yes, there would have been many people who were "christosi" but the idea that one of them would have been some wandering preacher from the hills of Galilee is merely a gentile insult to jewish tradition.
