Americans tend to adore those who aspire towards being as dumb as they are, and are blase towards their fault. But Americans also tend to be vindictive towards those who demonstrate it is quite possible to be smarter, more educated and cultured, and better than they are, and would magnify each fault they see. What are you talking about, Palin got a lot of flak for having a child that was pregnant out of wedlock from both liberals and conservatives.
