Pascal's Wager sucks somewhat. You are right when you say you can't fake belief.

Pascal's wager falls on it's face in more ways than that. It assumes that God thinks crossing your fingers behind your back and saying "I believe" is a fine way to behave towards him, or that God is an imbecile that can't see through your lie.
Neither of these Gods are portrayed in any religion, so Pascal's wager deals with a completely new and really quite stupid God.

But since the argument from scripture is invalid, if there is a God he - as far as we know - is just as likely to be the silly Pascal Wager God than the God of the bible or the koran. So really isn't the problem with the argument just that it suggests that IF God wants you to believe in him then you can do so out of matter of policy.
This applies whether God genuinely wants you to believe or whether he is content with fake belief. Or 'faking it till you make it', faking belief until you convince yourself.
Essentially trying to maintain your self-delusion until you're fully convinced.
And of course, if God exists, there is no evidence to suggest he would prefer believers to non-believers. As far as we know the opposite is just as likely. He might send all believers to hell and all atheists to heaven. And of course the agnostics could go either way too.

The Pascal Wager 'God' is worth diddly squat, so why say anything about this. It's pointless. We've already ascertained that this wager is a load of rubbish. If this God were to exist, maybe he would have a laugh at people hedging their bets.

I see. I was just surprised you were surmising what this imaginary god would be like.
