Look at the channel: it's answers in genesis. Tongue

So it would be hilarious if it did turn out to be satirical. Big Grin

The thing that's the real joke here, is that anyone at all takes it seriously, let alone the retarded people who made this shit.

It's all part of a trend. Conservative Christians are to distance themselves from things of "the world" -- especially the prevailing Satanic culture. So what do they do? They create a parallel culture of laughably bad novels, shitty pop music, and terrible films. Apparently, the power and inspiration of the Holy Spirit doesn't extend to artistic expression these days.

Coming next summer... Strawman 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I'm sure old Rev 777 will love it (and be completely unable to say why) but honestly, you'd think that at least a few of these people will twig that there's something fundamentally fucked up at having to defend a viewpoint using only lies, right?

I think it's interesting that in my experience most people who do not have a proper grasp of the theory of evolution - and by that I mean both a grasp of what a theory is and the concepts of evolution - regardless of religion, faith, ideology, etc. often have misunderstandings about it and while most non-Christians do not make videos about their misunderstandings it shouldn't matter that Christians do.

We are happy to let the film 'Gravity' pass despite it's massive scientific inaccuracies and it is far more likely to misinform people than this low budget Christian documentary.

I mean, us Brits didn't give Americans a hard time when the film U-571 got an Oscar despite it depicting Americans as the first to capture a German Enigma code machine in WWII when we all know it was the British Navy (HMS Bulldog) who first captured one from German U-boat U-110.

The more atheists make a fuss about this kind of Christian claptrap, the more credence we give it.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)

From the preview, this movie does not strike me as bad as the other strictly theistic films. At least this one is portraying a battle between creationists and evolutionists.

Whether the ending will decide whose viewpoint is more accurate is the what should concern one, as well as the title.

A matter of faith. Is that in reference to the creationists or the evolutionists? Are the creationists going to make the claim that evolution is a matter of faith?

Perhaps the ending will portray an impasse whereby they will be too afraid to declare one side as more accurate over another. That, of course, would be a further detriment to evolution, considering that there is nothing accurate about faith or creationism.

Buy, hey, I might give this movie a shot. Unlike the other ones that were clearly strictly theistic in nature.

Though I was just thinking that if it is called A matter of faith, then the likelyhood of it being a movie in favor of evolution is low.

Upon further reflection, it seems as though the movie may portray the faithful as the victims.

Yes, the above is how my thought processes work in real life. I am weird like that.

Our Hollywood gave America credit for capturing an enigma machine that cracked the code? I'm facepalming but I'm not surprised.
