Interestingly, the original concept for the Terminator character was to have him as an inoffensive, nondescript type which could blend in with humans and kill them without being detectable - Cameron or whoever had someone like Lance Henriksen in mind. That would make far more sense. Then Arnie came along and that went out the window.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
