I'm sorry to hear of this. I was in an abusive relationship, and forced sex was usually what was on the menu. I never looked at it as rape per se, but looking back, if it isn't consenting, then....

...it most definitely IS rape. It IS sexual assault. I can only imagine that people still think otherwise due to an outdated cultural (mis)understanding of an issue and similarly outdated cultural belief that a man is by default the "master" or otherwise the superior in any relationship with a woman and therefore need not treat her as an equal. This can work both ways, in that a man who is assaulted by his wife (sexually or otherwise) is under tremendous social pressure to either retaliate or accept it quietly.

Marriage is not a license to abuse another person.

in all seriousness, when i read things like this, it makes me RAGE! This is such an insult to people who have been raped. The notion that rape only happens to women is so fucking ignorant of these people, it's just unreal. Men are raped at alarmingly high rates in the military, and children are raped. They think rape only happens to women? Oh, I guess men, women and children shouldn't wear yoga pants.
But, they are Christian, so...

I imagine it's an insult to everyone except rapists. To the victims of rape, and the men who actually have the restraint not to do it. We don't need women to cover themselves from head to toe to protect them from rapists. We need to punish people who can't restrain themselves.

I'm also reminded to people that think yoga itsself can lead to demonic possession, because it encourages you to relax yourself. Can you imagine what these people are like, that not only can't get any sexual release because masturbation is the devil, but won't even relieve other types of stress for fear of demons getting in?

Because they're tight fitting, I suppose. Some people find tight fitting clothes sexy, because they let you know the shape of the body underneath.
