Its pretty foundational stuff - we covered this material in our first lecture on thermodynamics in our undergrad engineering degree. The equations he writes on the board are very elementary.

Nothing that any undergraduate engineering or decent physics degree shouldn't cover. Even the electrical engineers should cover this. Uses alot of highschool physics terms - I figure this would be part of the opening lecture for a first year course.

Ah to be back at uni.... all the learning, none of the responsibility.
