The Nag Hammadi Scriptures. These are 2 AD documents discovered in 1945 that show much of modern Christian doctrine is ad hoc. Most Christians claim they are "forgeries" even though they date from 2-4 CE, and are geographically consistent. And this book is written by the Professor of Christian Studies at Chapman.

"Letter to a Christian Nation" by Sam Harris.

Personally, I think it should be required reading in school, at least athe the college/university level if not earlier.
