And you do know how to exist without a god - you have been doing so all your life. Pastor Ryan is of no use - because he is simply passing along things he cannot prove are true. Nor can anyone else for the Thousands of other religions out there as well The question you must ask yourself is - if a god is ALL loving - and ALL forgiving - and Almighty - and perfect - Where is the "perfect" world that should exist. How do you come to the conclusion that the god is perfect when NOTHING is - but if a perfect god created it - then it could not create anything that was not perfect. And why is it that theists cannot be moral or ethical UNLESS there is a reward in it? (Or a punishment if you do not)? Now - simply admit that Humans are imperfect beings - that have intelligence - and are capable of living a moral and ethical life for the one correct reason - because it is the right thing to do! And live a long and good life - and have no regrets
Hey, EoG - guess what we decided.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

One provides facts about the real world, the other facts about the Bible. I can attest to that. It took finally reading a few books on real science to get me to give up clinging to religious dogma as truth. Actually an argument between two nuns convinced me that religion was nonsense I went to catholic schools through my first two years in college - where the Biology Professor would NOT accept the statements of the religion - when applied to the study of Evolution - when the Religion Professor said she HAD to.
I missed the not so rare or beautiful poe flower coming to full bloom. Damn. The banhammer is swift but just.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I may sound like a prideful jerk but I will take a little credit of his decision to apologize.

Due to Poe's Law, it is almost impossible to tell if a person is a Poe unless they admit to it. "The Bible is true because it's the inerrant word of God! I know because the Bible says so! Glory!" If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
