It seems the highest level of religious understanding is that God doesn't exist, but atheists unassociated with a religion shortcut the religious experience step.

So we don't need islam or the quran. If I don't believe in god I am already there. My understanding is profound. 
It's not immoral to eat meat, abort a fetus or love someone of the same sex...I think that about covers it

Muslim Atheism , forget all the irrelevant side arguments.
The crux of the matter is this: If you don't believe in God or Allah, as you state, WHY do you need to live by someone else's religious rule book? Why call yourself an atheist if to all intents and purposes you are living your life as a muslim, doing everything a muslim does but trying to justify to us that you are not one?

I guess he is saying that being a muslim doesn't require belief in the supernatural. Just requires living life according to the muslim book.

This is how he is desperately justifying himself. I believe he is actually very unhappy, split in his mind and trapped by his society into following this religion. Why else would he post here to try to get others to agree with him? He is alone. He wants to be atheist but cannot be. That's my theory anyway. He probably even has to grow a beard. As if a God would care whether you had a beard or not
