Why on earth would I watch a sport I can't stand?
You don't need to watch it, but why blame the sport if the media are the ones promoting it?

Go bitch to them then, it's not the people on this thread's fault you don't like football.

Why would you come on a thread to bitch about a sport you are supposedly sick of hearing about?

Anyone who says this has never gone flying in for a header with a goalkeeper rushing out to greet them, or slid in for a sliding tackle with someone running at you full pelt. Which sport is it that uses fucking pads again?
Oh, and Schweinsteiger got hit this game and had to go off because blood was pouring from his face. Also, Kramer got knocked the fuck out in this game too and had to be substituted (bigger hit than any american football hits I've seen). And Neuer also completely dropped Higuain.
Even Neymar broke his fucking back in this world cup.
People who say soccer is a pussy sport are fucking deluded, they probably should stick to rugby and the more simple games where less skill and more hulk smash is involved.

On a complete side not, did you know the EURO is now gonna have 24 teams?

Soccer has a culture of diving and flailing for calls. It was blatantly obvious this whole world cup, and it's the main reason I only watch soccer every 4 years. That's obviously where the pussy label comes in.

Not all players dive on purpose for calls. But yes they do it. Why does that erase the quality of the sport? When you look at the best players of all time, few of them had the habit of faking dives...

Yeah, I can understand that. I don't think any football fan wants to see diving. The problem is that FIFA isn't really doing anything about it. I mean, Robben admitted during this world cup that he dived. He hasn't received any punishment for it at all. If they actually start retrospectively banning players who do it and fine them it'll soon be cut out of the game. Simple fact is, it's cheating. I understand they do it often in basketball too (I don't really watch it, but I've heard you guys call it "flopping").

Maybe so but the best players ever aren't the bulk of players that have ever played. There's a reason soccer has that reputation.
I really didn't come in here to bash soccer though. I really like the world cup, and I look forward to the next one.
