RE: Field Trip form...
I f'ing hate parents that would take a child out of school that teaches legitimate knowledge to go and pay for their child to learn fairytales.

So....... retarded? ;\

In my own post above, I was stating that, "I Would not Put it Past" a letter such as that coming from idiots in my own area...

I've talked/debated with too many parents in my area, that believe the creation BS and have taken their children out of public schools because of it's teachings etc.

I've had my children's teachers state in their classrooms of a Young Earth Nature etc. etc.

So NO, I "Can" believe the letter is true, due to my own experience living in the Bible Belt/arm pit of the United States...(Louisiana)...... Smile

My post wasn't directed towards you or anyone else on the forum. I heard the guys on the Atheist Experience say something similar and I found the observation interesting and it seems to apply to the topic.

I too wouldn't put it past some religious parents to do this type of thing, but I'd like to know where the atheists got this photo. You'd think that the letter would have been handed into the teacher and that it got filed/thrown away. The teacher taking a picture of it seems unprofessional and I doubt the parent would have taken a picture of the letter to share on a forum. But then again, that is just what I suspect and some people do shocking things.

I agree, and I yes, If I am going to be critical of anything, then "Proof" is what I/we all should be asking for......
But it's always jaw dropping to see what you have already knew/heard in the open....lolol

On your statement of, "Parents posting their letter back".....

I know of many parents that would copy it, just to make as a type of hand out in their Church congregation... Kind of a "Brownie Point" (AKA) "Atta Boy/Girl" for idiots.
