About Jesus!

RE: About Jesus!
All these relics have survived because of the biblical gods miraculous intervention and divine preservation of said relics. Just some more proof that he exists pffffft .
There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition

Before you can "establish" that jesus had "followers" you have to establish that he existed at all.

In the context of this debate, presuming Jesus was a real person, we did establish there was more than 12Exclamation.

It is interesing you say that he may not have existed, this maybe true, or it may not be true. I am not a historian, therefore cannot answer this. However, I believe their is firm historical evidence that he did actually exist. I think Roman historiand were quite accurate.

But back to the topic, it seems none of the so called 'religious' members' feel the need for a debate, concerning this subject. oh well.

However, it seems that other members enjoy poor attempts at humor and have a team attitude towards shit stiring!!Arrow

There are no historians at all, Roman, Jewish or otherwise that were contemporaries of Jesus that wrote about him. The earliest writings about him were The Epistles Paul around 55AD and Paul, as you should know, had never met Jesus nor did he ever claim he had. In fact in 18,000 words he wrote about the Christian faith he never mentioned one detail of how Jesus looked, Spoke, His virgin birth, his mother, father, the carpentry, 12 disciples, baptism, the miracles, his betrayal by Judas, persecution by the romans etc etc...

Think about this: How did the first person known to write about Christianity completely forgot to mention the stories of the life of Jesus which are today considered by many Christians to be factually accurate? How did he fail to mention one defining attribute of Jesus' appearance?

Not even Peter, under testimony in Roman courts, mentioned a single defining attribute of Jesus appearance or any of his life story, he never indicated that he was a man at all, the closest he came to describing Jesus was to call him a guiding star in the sky.

Well, that is very interesting. Thank you.

Maybe Jesus wasn't a person, and is just a story.

That's the conclusion I have come to, but I am by no means certain of it - it just seems to me that you have to make one hell of a lot of unsupported assumptions in order to make sense of the plainly obvious and gradual development of the Jesus character over time from literally no physical interaction on earth with Peter to the entire life story as told in the Gospels.

Cheers. I believe I have now changed my view point on the existence of Jesus. It seems to make sense though, following in the foot steps of all other religions in brain washing masses for personal benifit.

Is it possible Jesus had followers, even though he did not exist?
"On Earth as it is in Heaven, the Cosmic Roots of the Bible" available on the Amazon.

Did Osiris exist? Did Zeus? Quetzalcoatl? Marduk? Arvernus? Ishtar? Mars? Shiva? A xtian would be the first to shriek that these are all false gods yet they had millions of "followers." When they claim jesus was different it is nothing but special pleading.

"Reality" is not a necessary requirement for a 'god.' In fact, it probably gets in the way.

Lmao it sure does, especially when you want to believe your book is the literal word of god.
