More like Jesus "Bros-before-hos" Christ, hanging out while chewing on the good hallucinogenic stuff.

Still sounds gay to me.

Basically, it is my opinion that if you were to take all the evidence for the existence of an historical Christ and weigh that against all of the evidence against that assertion, you would find the evidence against his existence far outweighs that for his existence.Cumulative evidence makes the case against the existence of an historical Christ every time.

Totally agree, I was never aware of the Jesus myth theory until a few months ago when i became interested in the topic - It started out as looking at the bible for the moral and immoral teachings and developed into my researching the historicity of Jesus. It was the total lack of contemporary historians that first opened me to the idea and the more research I have done on the subject the more I see the formation of his entire life story developing with time from something that did not exist with the early Christians through to the gospel stories of his entire life. I have taken special care to look at all sides of the argument, especially the formal debates between experts both historians and theologians, like Bart Ehrman, Richard Carrier, N. T. Wright, Richard Bauckham, James Dunn and William Lane Craig.

I am fairly convinced at this stage that the historical Jesus never actually existed.

I have been studying the historicity of Christ for years and have even read some of the classic works on the topic. I too am convinced that he never existed and as I have stated many times his story is just a conglomeration of plagiarized pagan myths. It was interesting that you brought up the matter of the epistles being early works by Paul and his not mentioning much about Christ's earthly life. Not too long ago I started to think that the synoptic gospels were sort of an afterthought that was necessary to continue to perpetuate the Jesus Myth.

There are a hell of a lot of holes in the "Paul" story, too.

I find that the more you scrutinize these tales the more you discover that they are made up of nothing more than fiction and bad editing.

They don't even contain realistic claims about the goings on at the time, too bad for the xtians the Romans were anal about the accuracy of the writings portraying events at the time.

RE: About Jesus!
Let me put this another way...Did James, known as the brother of Jesus, exist? He wrote an epistle and was written about by Paul, i.e. someone wrote about the brother of Jesus during his lifetime.
