I guess bigotry is justified when the person being hated is an undesirable part of soceity. All we need is a public consensus and science, truth, and what is right be damned..

I say let history be your judge.

Lol so your wallet is more important that protecting the right to healthcare? You got your values mixed up buddy - Why am I not paying for snowboard accidents again? It's a choice after all.

Guess what - I don't think I should be paying healthcare for people like you who think money is more important than saving lives - It is more important to me than erasing obesity, after all I'll care about productivity above everything, the rest is irrelevant

Um, yeah. SO SORRY I'm not as liberal and altruistic as everyone else on this site, but everyone knows that being obese is unhealthy for them. And snowboarding is an ACCIDENT, you may choose to be safe on the slopes, you may be the worst boarder in history, but an accident is an accident, not a choice.

Fine, find a plan that doesn't carry "money-grubbers". I'm sure if the system were a bit less regulated, you'd be able to do that in a snap. But hey, since we're all bleeding-heart liberals here, I'm sure you're totally against de-regulation.

Or hey, you could make an argument AGAINST punishing those who willfully hurt the fiscal stability of others through their choices. Call me a Nazi and be done with it. Heil.

No, in fact I'm more of a capitalist than a liberal, I'm not a leftist (I'm not a conservative either, I dislike labels), I'm more on the right and like re-regulation - But even I agree that free healthcare is a necessity and that letting someone die just because of their bad choices is inhumane and against western values - Perhaps because I live in Europe where no one questions universal healthcare I think like this - I'm a smoker and I'm tired of people complaining about me when the taxes I pay are not only used for healthcare but a small amount is even used for the economy (totally unrelated to smoking) without my consent.

If you, let's say, went trough a depression and got obese, perhaps you were partially to blame, but would you like going to the hospital and being refused treatment? I don't think so - I think human life is not for sale and is worth more money than you'll pay in taxes your whole life - I'm happy paying taxes for people who make bad decisions because life is more important than money.

And snowboarding is a choice as much as obesity can be or even smoking - Snowboarding in dangerous environments will increase the odds of accident - If people know this and do it, why am I paying again?
