Spark one up and fuckin' relax, mate.

Boru

I think you must have missed the part where it was moved into a "no parking" space. She could have gotten a ticket.

Sorry; no one has the right to touch other people's shit. End of story.

Because they'll both come back fucked!

But there was no lending involved. Someone moved a motorbike - just moved it. And all of a sudden people are advocating everything from vandalism to violence. Fuxxake.

Boru

It's obvious you don't have a motorcycle then.

I've been reading that there's a spate of people leaving kiddies in locked cars on hot days in the US. If I were to see that, do I have the right to smash the window and save the child?

And before the board explodes with pointless irrelevancies, no - I am NOT comparing a suffering child to moving a motorbike a few feet, just pointing out that there are instances where it IS permissible to touch other people's property.

I agree that whoever moved wolf's gf's bike was doing something thoughtless and inappropriate. The two of them got 'incredibly pissed', and the people here suggest violence/vandalism. Why? That isn't going to shift the bike back to the original position.

I just think people are making WAY too much over a minor incident.

I've owned motorbikes off and on since I was 14. My current one is a 1968 ElectraGlide.

Ok. Maybe people are getting a little too fired up, but really? Don't you think with this analogy, you're being a little ridiculous too?

I'll change my position for you, Boru: in this particular situation, whoever moved Wolf's GF's bike had no right to touch her shit. End of story.

Of course I was. But in my defense, I was pointing out how ridiculous YOUR position was that no one has the right to touch someone else's property 'end of story'.

You're very likely correct.

RE: Motorcycle Moved
Firstly, it was someone's vehicle legally parked.
Secondly, said vehicle was moved to a NO PARKING spot by person/s unknown so they could legally park their own vehicle.

Have I got that right?

Boru, yes you can smash a window in a persons vehicle to rescue a child or animal from the summer heat... Usually in the presence of some law enforcement officer or security guard as far as I am aware

Yep, that's 100%

Don't touch mah motorcycle, don't touch mah bitches motorcycle yo. Shit is fucked up. How would you feel if I hopped into your car and moved it into a no parking zone so that I could steal your spot? 100% the same shit!

Scratch that: How would you feel if I moved your car AT ALL??

RE: Motorcycle Moved
*sigh*

I'm not saying it was right to move the motorcycle. I'm saying the reactions to it are way, WAY over the top. No one got hurt, the bike didn't get hurt, nothing was stolen or damaged, no one got a parking fine.

Get a sense of proportion, folks.
