What "we" consider when deciding what a relatively plain text says may differ individually, but which forum we are in does not change the text. The New Testament might shed theological light on Cain and Abel but it won't change the text of Genesis. ---- And yes I'm aware of the the idea that old Testament stories are precursors to New Testament ones. But none of them really matches up as claimed, or at least not more than fortune cookies match modern lives.
I like the Liger though. ----- Wonder how many "missing links" a creationist would claim lie between it and the tiger should they be looking only at the fossils.
