For a little perspective: When Andromeda collides with the Milky Way (don't panic yet), the chances of worlds colliding are extremely slim due the immense amount of empty space between any given celestial body and the next. The chaotic gravity tugs will do some damage (go ahead and panic), but no humans will be harmed (stop panicking) because we'll all be long gone (PANIC!) due to either inhabitable conditions on Earth (PANIC SO HARD) or some other natural or man made cause (PANIC REAL HARD) and not some biblical apocalypse (LOSE YOUR SHIT!!!)
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

It is odd (to me at least) that so many people are ignorant of astronomy, engineering, and other technical fields, and yet are totally unaware of their ignorance,

-BUT-

for some reason, most of them DO realize they are ignorant of surgery, for some reason, and generally do not attempt appendectomies on themselves or their children.

Why do people recognize their limitations in one regard, but not others ??

(not that I am advocating for more home appendectomies, although it depends on the specific kid involved)

I see they are to do another Parallax this year and see if any planets are with it. I think the Centarui system is dangerously close and the orbit can sling any thing towards us because of the north and south orbits.

It wasn't discovered through parallax. That is a means of determining distance, not discovering unknown objects.

Furthermore, its distance at the time of discovery was understood to be very near that of A Centauri, about 4.25 LY and thus your claim that the distance has been changed, either in books or in reality, is incorrect.

Your worries about that system harming ours are misplaced. Have a cup of coffee and relax.

Thanks I know enough to get me in trouble the thing is sometimes know not enough to get me back out of trouble.

That was so funny thanks

I have encountered many a Christer I felt was self-lobotomized . . .

Your wisdom precedes you all. It seems that when I replace the electric outlets at home seems that I always forget to shut the breaker off. Usually I get 120v blast. So any more I know the power is on so now I expect the shock.

Not only you lack the understanding of astronomy, you also suck at electricity. One gets a blast from the current that is allowed trough one body, the voltage isn't really a factor, just the resistance in the whole circuit. Example: a taser deploys thousands of volts, yet, they are not generally lethal. But you can get killed by simply... 12 V.

How do you get killed by 12 volts?

By using it to generate a tiny spark while you stand in a pool of gasoline?

If 12 volts flow through your body, you body becomes the resistor that limits the current flow in the circuit. So with your skin in the way, 12 volts ain't gonna kill you. That's why car batteries are not labeled with skull and crossbones.

Usually, it takes 36 volts or more to generate any potentially dangerous current flow throughout your body and pose any significant danger of electrocution.

Did I miss something here?

Lets conduct and experiment:

Ezekiel: You just vaguely mention any old thing that crosses your mind. Then lets see if we go off on a tangent about it without questioning the strange subject change.

Go!
