Man who sold worthless "explosives detectors" to the Iraqi Military is arrested,
Remember a few years back these puppies were responsible for a road block in Iraq not picking up a car full of explosives that killed 155 people?

We'll the guy who made the kits is now under arrest for "suspicion of fraud".

But, wait... it gets better:

"The Times tested the flimsy device which has no electronic components and no working parts and was unable to detect a paper bag containing fireworks from a few feet away. ATSC’s sales literature claims the device can detect minute quantities of explosives at up to one kilometre, or three kilometres from the air.
Mr McCormick told The Times that his device was being criticised because of its crude appearance.
He added: “We have been dealing with doubters for ten years. One of the problems we have is that the machine does look a little primitive. We are working on a new model that has flashing lights.

:Roflol:

Flashing lights... yeah that will kick your non-functional, non-sensical fucking dowsing rods into gear!

But one question has to be asked...

HOW THE FUCK DID THE MILITARY MISS THIS?

RE: Man who sold worthless "explosives detectors" to the US Military is arrested,
It was the Iraqi military that bought them. The US military advised against it.

Almost like an act of defiance "We don't want your advice filthy American's"! You see us with our new explosive detectors now - hahaha *Boom!!* A smiling head rolls down a sandy slope, while the bomb detector remains in tact.
Does that mean the manufacturer's of the detector are being extradited to Iraq, or will US simply charge them??

I don't know. Maybe they had some reverse psychology agenda going on, who's to know? Anything's possible, could've been me . . .

I have found over the internet the ATSC LTD website. Which is an explosives detector.
What do you think about that?

What if the guy really believed that the gadget really detected bombs, Void? Or someone that tricked him into believing that?

... Sorry, couldn't resist Big Grin *hides*

Anyway on topic, perhaps the Iraqi army was playing a mental game with the terrorists "Ohhhhh, they have big american bomb detectors, mabe we shouldn't attack anymore..."
