No. It's because he is a master chef.

Honestly, at this point, I think the biggest thing pushing me towards not supporting Scottish Independence is that if it happens, when I have another Weird Britain column, It'll be more difficult to find stories now that the Scots aren't part of the UK anymore.

I think the crew in Buckingham palace will satisfy your readership's morbid curiosity for the foreseeable future. Quote:They have oil (for how long?) and not much else....? No worries about the oil. Lets weight it up Pop Bands - Simple Minds v The Beatles (1-0 to England) James Bond Actor - Sean Connery v Daniel Craig (2-0 to England) Politicians - Gordon Brown v Tony Blair (no-score draw, still 2-0 to England) Great Inventors - John Logie Baird v Tim Berners Lee (2-1 to England) Resources - Oil v (err) Chalk? (2-2 draw) Artists - Margaret Mellis v Damien Hirst (3-2 to England) Philosophers - David Hume v John Locke (4-2 to England) Writers - Irvine Welsh v J K Rowling (5-2 England) Poets - Robert Burns v William Blake, William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Percy Bysshe Shelley, and John Keats (6-2 to England) Playwrights - Lord Byron v Shakespeare (7-2 to England) Scientist - Alexander Fleming v Stephen Hawking (7-3 to England) Cuisine - Deep fried mars bar v Steak and Kidney Pudding (8-3 to England) Alcoholic beverage - Scotch whiskey v Scrumpy (8-4 to England) Biscuits - Shortbread v Chocolate Hobnobs (8-5 to England) Smoked foods - Smoked Salmon v smoked bacon (9-5 to England) We win. Any more or anyone disagree with my (clearly) scientifically researched poll*. MM * I asked one person what they thought for this poll... well I spoke out loud in front of my dog, who thinks I'm mental anyway so no change there.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)
Funny that, an Englishman thinking England is better than Scotland. Who'd have seen it coming?
