Voting on a god's wishes?
I find the Vatican voting on social issues a bunch of fucking bullshit. You consider the institution's long history of dragging it's feet on social equality and science for starters. Not to mention the absurd idea that an "all powerful" being needs humans to vote on his wishes.

The Roman Catholic church could be far worse, it could state offically it believes in things like a 6000 year old universe and a catastrophic flood occuring about 4000 years ago.

Don't get me wrong here, I am glad the west has leaned to water down it's superstitions to civil levels. I just find the logic behind all god claims that include "all powerful" absurd when you look at how humans justify those claims.
