Civ Beyond Earth

Anyone else thinking that this might easily be game of the year? Civ games are just stunningly unreal now we taking those games to their natural extension on a new planet with new development. So excited.

Well, color me severely disappointed. Beyond Earth is way too derivative of Civ V, to the point it's basically just a very pretty mod. The only two "systems" in Beyond Earth that don't have a direct counterpart in Civ V are the orbital layer & the affinity system. The NPC factions feel equally soulless.
Guess I will wait for the DLC to come out & hope it fixes or adds enough to make Beyond Earth feel like it's own game.
