Just to echo what others have said here, its really a non factor in my day to day life, outside of watching some YouTube vids for entertainment or hanging out here. That said everyone that knows me well knows I'm a atheist.

When the subject of religion comes up I say that I'm not religious or not interested.

Taking something from another religion and adding what you like isn't an offshoot? christians took from judaism, added their own guy, and said he was the son of Yahweh, so the jews should totally convert to christianity.

No, it isn't necessarily. None of the original adherents were Jews or Christians, they weren't basing the new cult on anything but the ravings of Mohammed.

Well, I'm one of those door-to-door atheist proselytizers handing out blank atheist tracts. I sometimes hang out on college campuses and yell nothing through a bullhorn at the reason-challenged denizens. I've been known to wear an invisible sandwich board and not yell at people foolishly minding their own business and walking down the street. Damned fools they are! Other than that, anyone who will listen to the Good News of Atheism: Don't Worry! There is probably no god and you can sleep in on Sunday and fornicate with that there hottie over there!
