The enemy of knowledge

The enemy of knowledge
Its ignorance because ive been helping out around a private school i seen their science books needless to say i was kind of taken aback like where does rain come from and it said god makes it rain. This is something that shouldn't be taught atlleast both sides should be taught creationism and science. this is the reason why people try to argue with me on daily basis that the bible is the first book and religion and that god is the true god. Then i give credible evidence that the bible is not the word of god nor it is original or the first book because The Epic Of Gilgamesh predates Christianity. Then i get called ignorant because i am wrong because the earth is only six thousand years old when its not. This is one of the reason why education here in the us is so poor and failing. When other countries are like science we need more of it here were like we need more god less science. whats god going to teach you , what can the bible teach you.. when science is right and chances are whats written a six thousand year old book had people talk about how the world works according to their ancient way of thought. i mean come on were smarter than that now but i find it so stupid and embarrasing how people believe this bullshit.

No, they shouldn't.

No, they shouldn't.

Sorry, OP, I agree here. Creationism has no place in science class.

I won't oppose it being in a comparative religions class in which the creation myths of all religions are studied - and the class would have to be voluntary for the students.

Then why should creationists pay taxes to support schools?

The ignorance of that statement is astounding.

If you want to use selective taxes why should atheists pay taxes that go to "faith based initiatives"?

Why should pacifists pay taxes that go to the military?

I'll put this into small words:

Evolution is SCIENCE and belongs in science classes

Creationism is a religious claims that is NOT science and doesn't belong in science class.

Is that clear enough for you?
