Its arrogant to believe that the Cosmos is made just for us, there is billions of worlds out there doing their own thing just like us, well I hope better than us lol.

It`s the same thing with the churches and cathedrals, huge buildings established to instill fear and respect.
Also, he thought it would be very easy to get to him with the evergreen argument "This whole thing cannot just come into existence by itself. Therefore God."
Very smart.
But please keep in mind, creating a universe is a very demanding job, so excuse him for the shitty book.
If it`s true that our species is alone in the universe then I`d have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.
