I have service dog I take to people's houses and gatherings and to one of my doctor's who allows her. I'm tired of you specieists that think that people are the only ones that have fucking rights to be alive places!! Animals have just as much rights as we do and start getting used to them. Have tolerance for them.

I haven't got an issue with service animals, none whatsoever. They are absolutely vital to people who need them. A seeing eye dog in a restaurant or other public place doesn't bother me in the slightest.
My issue is with people who have decided to designate their pets - frequently ill-behaved pets at that - as 'emotional support animals' and who think this gives them the right to be accommodated right alongside people who have legitimate service animals.
Sorry, but the notion that animals have the same rights as human beings is just wrong. 'Rights' are an exclusively human concern, and have nothing whatsoever to do with the rest of the animal kingdom. What humans have regarding animals is an obligation to treat them decently and humanely, but this is not the same as Snuffles the hamster having 'rights'.
If I am ever unfortunate enough to require a service animal, my fondest wish is that cyborg baboons will have been perfected by that time.

There is a big difference between a work animal like a seeing eye dog, that's trained to strictly be on the job in public, and a pet that you think is going to be as behaved in public as they are at home because they're such a darling when they're in their comfort zone on the couch.

Well I'm okay with the professional screeners and trainers who match rescued pitbulls with Veterans recovering from PTSD. Wish all pitbulls were professionally screened and trained as a requirement.
If service animals are handled properly this is a win win situations. Amateur wannabes need not apply.
