And even then, you might be able to milk a few bucks from the carcass.

I haven't seen anything of this franchise past T2 and don't feel the worse for it. With all due respect to the screenwriters, who I'm sure have delivered a compelling script, I'll pass.

T3 really had its moments. T4, well, I honestly don't remember. That means something I guess

It works, and in a predatory way, which is the saddest part. Movie studios will wring every last dollar out of old ideas, and as soon as someone takes a chance and hits it big with a new idea, they grab that one and run it into the ground. Which pays off because no matter how bad Slasher Pic XII is, enough people will pay to make it worth making XIII.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

As far as I'm concerned, the latest one was that...

God, but they couldn't even get the continuity right at all. They have Arnie call himself a "T-101" when he is in fact a "CSM-101", as printed on posters FYI and a T-800. See for yourself:

Reece even says so in the first movie "Cyberdyne Systems Model 101". Then they introduced yet another more advanced Terminator, despite the fact that Reece made it abundantly clear that the humans had won the war and that the T-800's were the brand new model when he was sent back; the machines sent back a T-800 as their last chance to avoid defeat. If the humans weren't on the verge of total victory then the machines would never have needed to send a Terminator back in the first place.

Therefore, we need to send back more terminators, thus solving this problem once and for all! Once and for all! Unless you were already having been going to have done that!
