I read years ago, and I can't cite the study, but the finding was that atheists and theists did about the same on most parts of an IQ test. For what it's worth, most of the difference came from parts of the IQ test related to accurately estimating things, like which or whether one of two lines is longer than the other.

I say 180+ because I got bored during the test (happens often, regardless of the kind of test) and just answered randomly near the end, yielding a lower result (I think) than what should have been. The final score was 180. If you'd like, just stick to that value. Of course, since you won't accept the claim because the odds aren't in my favor, I guess this is mostly irrelevant.

I mean you get the idea. People who casually shrug off IQ as an important thing I think have either not really looked into it's importance or are doing so for reasons of political correctness. That being said anybody who randomly pops up onto a forum and declares their IQ (never saying what test they took or the circumstances) generally are idiots who are full of shit.
Read my posts, then tell me if you can ascertain my IQ. I was not kidding when I said it was 180+.
Well I'm sure you are full of it. Someone with that sort of IQ surely would know the correlation with IQ and other achievements. Plus to even score that you would have to take a very specific test that tests for genius IQ. Nothing you have said implies that you have taken it nor have you mentioned it. So no. You don't. I know a fair amount about IQ tests, so you can just tell me what the type of IQ test you took that gave you that results, give a few example questions and tell me what city you took it in.

Given that this is the first thread I've discussed IQ on this forum, and that this very post is the fourth one I've made in this thread and third about my IQ... Well, in short, have you ever heard of "sample size"?
EDIT: But, hey, whatever. I don't flaunt my IQ for the same reason I don't flaunt the fact that I eat rarely eat cereal. It's irrelevant.

Most IQ tests, particularly free ones on the web, don't score higher than 130 or 140 even if you get all the answers right. To show the upper end, you have to have upper end questions.

Interesting. I would have guessed it was questions where there was an obvious first glance answer that was wrong.

Dude, there is a very specific test that you have to take to get an IQ score that high. It has a name, it even has a city that you have to go to take it. A standard IQ test won't give you a result of 180. Considering that you don't know that, obviously you are full of shit. Also you spent most of this thread flaunting your IQ. Given your amazing IQ I'm sure you could give an example of the type of questions you had on this test at the least. Also IQ isn't irrelevant. You would have to know nothing about the subject to think that. I already responded to that, but you ignored it. I don't get what people get emotionally out of making up high IQs for people over the internet.

And do you actually know anything of the person who posted that to make a claim that she/he doesn't have an IQ of 180?
Not to mention it was most likely directed towards mocking the irrational claims made by the OP. No one is bragging about IQ's. And IQ's become irrelevant when you are too lazy to get up from bed and work hard on something.
