Ohio played impressively - kudos for the win. I hadn't seen Jones play before, very surprising to see a 3rd string quarterback with the kind of calm confidence that he showed.

Um yes and no. They had a bad case of fumblitus and our QB flat out dropped an attempted pass with no one touching him. I think our defense did a great job in the second half stopping them from scoring. And they did even in the first half keep an otherwise explosive team from getting first downs.

But that was messy. I'll take it, but far from perfect.

Didn't say it was perfect. Yep, Ohio turned the ball over a bunch, but the defense kept Oregon from capitalizing on the turnovers for the most part. Most teams that commit 4 turnovers against the Ducks don't hold them to 20 points. :p

I was the turnover differential (4-1, the 1 being an interception at game's end) that makes it so impressive to me. Giving up four possessions and handing a high-powered offense those chances instead is a recipe for catastrophe. Yet they won by 22 points! Sweet holy Jesus in a sidecar!
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Exactly. Ohio was IMO, underrated this year, and I say that as a long time Oregonian and Ducks fan. They adjusted very well to the hurry-up offense, and despite injury problems and turnovers came up with a huge victory. No controversery here, they simply brought and executed the better game plan.
