Yes. Yes it is. It has the single most amazing soundtrack, an absolute killer title theme. The story is one of the closest adaptations Salzman/Broccoli ever made. Ok, Lazenby is no Connery, but he does make a decent attempt at the double-0 licence; get past the disappointment of a cuckoo Bond and the character still shines through.

Plus you get amazing stunt work in the shape of Olympic champion Willi Bogg, for the very first time, skiing backwards with a camera between his knees, in this case down the Cresta Run.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
