Ok Go made a song called "This too shall pass" and features an amazing Rube Goldberg machine. Since I like their music and love RG machines, I thought Id share it with you guys.

I can believe it is all done in one take, but it is more likely to have been done in two takes. The transition being where the curtain opens and the big metal ball launches the tv could be the right place to make the transition.

This is the same group that did the "Here it goes again" clip with the treadmills where everyone also thought it was done in multiple takes until they performed it live on stage.

Apart from that with the exception of a few points most of the setups are not very complicated and have a low change of failure.

And apart from that is is not difficult to have a backup mechanism in place to start the next part should one piece fail to continue the rest of the RG machine.

I stand corrected, it was done in one shot, although it took 60 resets to do it right. Smile

Interesting, I saw a video recently which showed two semi-obvious "cuts" that suggest it wasn't all done in one take:

Somehow I doubt that that would be the case. There is one spot where I agree that if there is a cut, it would be there. But given their track record I have no problem accepting it to be done in 1 shot.
